Therion partio en 1987 como una banda Death Metal bajo el nombre de Blitzkrieg.
Mas tarde cambiaron totalmente su forma de tocar..y fue con este disco con el q experimentaron algo mas symphonico integrando orquestas,voces femeninas,etc.
